What can I send my sister to cheer her up?

She lives in another country, a long haul flight away from me, and she’s just told me her long term relationship is imploding in the worst possible way. I just want to scoop her up and make it all better but I won’t see her in person until November. What can I send her to say “I’m sorry everything is shit please look after yourself”. Booze or chocolate doesn’t seem enough and she might have to share it with the arsehole who’s making her miserable.

Any suggestions?

Is there a spa near her home that you get her a gift voucher for?

Flowers always cheer me up.

Does she have children with him?

Is there anything from home that would make her smile? Decent tea, or a Tunnocks caramel wafer, or something like that that she liked as a child and is unlikely to be able to get in her new country?

When I lived far away, a touch of home always felt like a hug.

Thank you all. By chance a mutual friend is going to her city next week so I am going to put a few things in her suitcase. I’ve also sent her some Sol de Janeiro bum bum creams.

One of the problems is that she hasn’t told her children most of what’s happening so anything that is too obviously meant to cheer her up could prompt unwanted questions from them.

What about a Spotify play list with both your favourite songs from childhood./growing up that will make her smile. Add in as many fuck you /empowering break up songs that you think is appropriate (maybe none!).

That hedgehug is super cute.
