Please Tell Me I’m Not The Only One Who Has An OH that does this?

Is it a man thing? Or do women do it too for those of you who have female OHs?!! Selective listening!šŸ˜‚

Conversation yesterday about medication:

Me: How many M and L do you take each day? Is it 1 L and 2 M?
DH: yes, why?
Me: Just that I was sorting my meds out for holiday so thought I’d put yours in while I was there and then they are done.
DH: thank you.
Me: And I’ve also tidied the basket with the rest of the tablets in so when you get the next lot out you’ll see I’ve removed the bags they came in and they’re just in the boxes so there’s less clutter.
DH: Ok, thanks.

Today:
DH: have you seen my new tablets I picked up the other day? I can’t find them!

🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

My wife does this. I'm female. So not just a man thing. Absolutely infuriating though!!

I’d be pissed off if my DH sorted my meds out. I’m not a child

hexsnidgett · 21/07/2025 20:28

I would leave his stuff alone.

Yes my husband does this all the time, I asked him outright if he’s actually listens when I tell him and he said no šŸ˜‚

The other day he was looking for an item that I told him had been moved, but he wasn’t listening

He had to hunt around the kitchen looking for it because I wasn’t going to repeat myself again and again!

Why are you acting like his mother though?

I was doing him a favour. Sorry to read you’re uptight about that sort of thing.

Oh FFS. Chill yourself out. And you @Ontherocksthisyear

We stay in a SC cottage in the UK, whereby we take a ā€˜kitchen box’ that contains, well, stuff you’d find in the kitchen, including both of our meds. I do the packing of this, as I have always done. He has stuff to pack for both of us that I don’t do (for e.g. we take the firesticks for the tvs so we can have movie nights, he collects all the chargers etc just in case you need to know what while you’re getting all offended for no reason).

It’s kind of good to have give and take in a marriage.
