I know I'm getting sick, what can I take?

I'm coming down with a stomach bug. Felt a bit rough yesterday, tired with the odd temperature, but today my stomach is churning somewhat painfully and I've had one episode of diarrhoea (nothing since). Feeling increasingly sick. Obviously you guys have no idea what ingredients I have in my house, but does anyone have any suggestions of home remedies I can make to prevent this from getting worse? Peppermint tea is my first thought, and I have that!

I’d not take anything at all. I’d just starve for 24 hours and sip on clear liquids if thirsty.

Nothing, starve it out and just sip water.

Nothing. You’ve got it now. Paracetamol for temperatures. Maybe ginger tea for nausea.

I wouldn't take immodium to stop the diarrhoea. If you've got a stomach bug, you want all the germs out not in.
Plenty fluids to keep hydrated (if you can keep it down), paracetamol for cramps, ginger tea/biscuits for nausea.

Agree no immodium. Try to take water and, if you have it, rehydration sachet.

Plenty of fluids to flush your system through, rehydration sachets and ginger for nausea. If you can manage it try and have some ginger or plain biscuits, just so you have something in your tummy if you're sick. My friend caught a tummy bug whilst she was in Goa and it used to reoccur. She swore by flat lemonade, paracetamol for stomach cramps and Rich Tea biscuits. Dry toast once the worse has passed.
