Still looking rubbish despite best efforts

Christening for my child.

I tried my best with my outfit, nothing over the top just a pretty blouse and trousers.
I had my hair cut.
I took my time to apply make up as well as I can.

But in photos from event, I see someone so frumpy, hair looks lanky and flat, I look ugly.

I know it's self absorbed to spend time thinking about it. How I looked was so far from the point of the occasion, but it has left me with feelings of inadequacy.
Feeling so flat and dissapointed.

Maybe it is now how you look to the outside world but you are feeling shit about yourself? Maybe go and have a makeover at a store? Splash on a perfume that makes you feel uplifted, a cheery lipstick? Is you hair still not right? Get advice from a hair stylist. Look at yourself in the mirror and try to ascertain what would suit your frame. Are you small breaster or busty, do you have a tum? Are you hippy? Could you afford to go to a store like John Lewis and get advice? Look of facebook/instagram etc for people who look similar to you.

You probably looked much nicer on the day. Sometimes photos are a bit rubbish due to the lighting or angle.
