Where is this painting of? Islington?

We are trying to find the exact location painted here and mumsnetters seem good at solving mysteries. It's probably Islington or Finsbury. Any ideas please?

When I first saw this, I thought it looked like a view that I might get from the bus on Upper Street. But having looked at Google Maps that doesn't quite make sense. The only possibility with that terrace would be The union Chapel. But the shape of that church tower doesn't match anything in Islington currently. I think. I don't know for sure. It may be that the roads along the other side would have that view.

I don't know Finsbury Park, so I can't comment.

Google reverse image search immediately brings up the Handel & Hendrix museum but that doesn't fit at all. Unless it used to be located somewhere different.

do you have any information about the image that you can share? Is it meant to be just an impression or would the shape of that to be accurate?

I can't place the arches anywhere, but for some reason it looks familiar.

It looks like Handel Hendrix house in Brook Street.

That look like St George’s church, Hanover Square.

Definitely. With the tower of St.Georges Hanover Square visible beyond Lancashire Court.

Thank you all - I continue to be amazed by MNetters mystery solving skills. That does look to be the spot, though I can't quite get a Google street view to work out exactly where the image is take from. And we thought the artist didn't stray that far from Islington, but were clearly wrong.
