Yesterday I started taking norethisterone to delay my period. I only had the first tablet late last night to start me off. I then took the first of 3 a day, this morning. I am going on a 4 week beach holiday of a lifetime next Wednesday. Today my period started. When I say started, I mean slightly discoloured discharge (the norm when I start) only visible from inserting a finger as far as I could (sorry if TMI!). Full flow usually follows up to 24 hours after this.
Do I:
A - carry on taking the tablets and hope it delays my period until I stop taking the tablets, after my holiday.
B - stop taking the tablets, hope my period comes asap. If it had come normally today it might have been done by the time I go next Wednesday. As I am peri, I cannot guarantee when it will come, hence I started with the tablets. However, if I stop the tablets now, then my period might not get fully started for a few days and then I will have it going into next week. I cannot have it while away. We are on a snorkelling boat trip for the first part of the trip.
I think carry on with the tablets - in the hope it stops my period from fully starting - until I get back from holiday but would welcome advice. Thanks
