To think Woody Allen still hasn’t recognised what he did was wrong

Just reading an article that references Woody Allen and was reminded again of the quote from Ronan Farrow "He's my father married to my sister. That makes me his son and his brother-in-law. That is such a moral transgression”.

How do you ever get your head around that as a child. It’s so wild.

Woody Allen benefited from the timing of his relationship with his step daughter becoming public knowledge. The 90’s was celeb mag central, paparazzi everywhere all the time, nothing taken overly seriously.

His career would be dead in the water immediately, if it happened now.

He’s a repugnant individual and his films are shit.

I believe his other daughter's claims of abuse too.

Totally agree, it’s absolutely disgusting behaviour. And yes he benefited from it being the 1990s and not now. Though even then in my circles people were horrified by it. He’d be completely and utterly cancelled today. And in my opinion his films are seriously overrated anyway lol. I also believe his other daughter’s abuse claims.

I think the fact that she is referred to as step daughter is misleading . He never married Mia and they never lived together . Think the age is more of a problem as she was only 17 . Still together . It is still not a crime.
It's the alleged abuse of his other daughter that is a bigger deal. Unfortunately Mia was so bitter and angry that the possibility of her coaching her daughter was repeatedly brought up in the court case .

How this man has never been locked up is beyond me.

I'd be pretty bitter and angry too. That whole thing was a fiasco.
However, Woody did exist as a father in the stepdaughter's life. He did have that role. He was the biological father to her siblings. The relationship started during this period when she was a teenager. Completely morally reprehensible. Maybe not illegal (that we know of, who knows what happened before) but absolutely awful.
