Do your Yr6 DC do English workbooks at home?

We have previously used the Progress with Oxford SPaG and comprehension books during the holidays. We've done up to age 7-8, the age 8-9 one is available on Amazon for £816!!

I'm looking for something aimed at Yrs 5-7, something a bit interesting and fun. A lot of the next stage seem to be practice tests - definitely don't want that, my DC aren't working towards any exams, and they will probably immediately refuse to do it. We speak English at home but they don't at school, nor do they learn it at school. I'm finding it quite hard to find something suitable online, can anyone recommend something good for this age group?

CGP books are good, and much cheaper!
