Fat, 50's and need a new hair style, suggestions please.

Currently have long hair that is constantly up, need a new hairstyle that can either be easily put up, work rules very strict about hair above shoulder length or tied back.
Can't decide between classic Bob or something shorter. Also needs to be something fairly easy to style. Hair is menopausal, not poker straight, more wavy as opposed to curly.

Something asymmetrical & so incredibly cool, that will work with just-washed wavy or polished, straightened hair.
As short as you dare on the one side & as long as the rules allow on t’other.
(colour change only when you’re used to it & are really sure you want the ongoing faff & cost)

Classic bob but with long layers. You can wash and wear or use tongs to style it a bit more. Also easily pulled back, but not too tightly.
