To order cake from Costco or just buy one ‘off the shelf’

So, organising Mum’s 81st surprise birthday and wondering about Costco cakes. Is it best to pre-order with some writing on, or just pop in and buy one?

Not a hugely interesting topic I know, but I know Costco gets some love on here. I usually only buy bog rolls, salt & pepper pork belly and the office tea and coffee. I don’t usually stray into the pastry section.

We ordered one with a message on. It tasted good and was great value.
