Ex pisses me of when it comes to ds autism/sen

When ds was little ex wouldn't except that ds has autism he was throwing tantrum about it and was a bit nasty with his tone so I stopped showing him reports including school reports.

Ds had a lovely report that said what a lovely person he is how friendly he is his kindness etc so I wanted to show his dad.

All of ds attainment levels say workong towards. So because it says working towards his dad thinks ds has litterly cracked it hes litterly caught up. Ds is in year 5 but works at year 1 level .

And ex is saying omg hes caught up hes done fantastic. My mum said he was just a bit behinde and he will catch up she was right.

Im super proud of ds and his own personal achievements.

Obviously the answer is just to ignore him . Just pisees me off .

Does his dad go to parents’ evening at school? If so, the teacher could explain what ‘working towards’ actually means.

I'm surprised they have put working towards if he's at Y1 level. Our reports only say working towards if they have met the targets for the year group below but haven't yet attained the targets for their correct year group. Working at Y1 level in Y5 would be reported as working below ARE, so in his defence I'm not surprised that he hasn't assumed he is still significantly behind.

Anyway, that's not really the point of your question. Your only options are to ignore him or try and explain what working towards means in this scenario, or ignore him. Only you know how receptive he would be to that conversation, and whether or not he's involved enough for it to matter

They only do workong towards as the lowest grading . O thobk so it doesn't cause offence.

I think its more that hes never really accepted that ds difficulties ut just have another reason to deny them. Im not going to do/say anything just needed a moan.
