Help - best cases and protection for a Macbook

Recently started a new role and they gave me a Macbook with a soft padded case.

Now the screen has got lines running down it. No idea what happened but having Googled it, this is damage to the LCD which is usually caused by dropping or stepping on the Macbook! Obviously I haven't!

Work will fix it but I really don't want this issue again.

Ideally I'd have a hard cover that fits on the Macbook itself and a really good case as well but any advice welcome.

That sounds bloody weird. I’ve used MacBooks of various types for the last 10 years or more and never had an issue. I suggest you get one of the hard shells for it. Or rather the company should buy it. Any hardcover from Amazon also works. I got a cheap see through one from Amazon last time.

Thank you. I mean, it must have hit something but I don't know when. Or there's an outside chance it's faulty I guess.

I've had macbooks for years and never had this issue but don't want to risk it in future.
