If your 16 year old daughter was going to an event with friends (3 teenage sisters) and to save money the dad of the girls who was taking you booked just one room for you all to sleep in at a hotel (to save money with the idea of him sleeping on the floor) would that be something you would be happy with)

Yes or no please to whether or not you find this appropriate.

If he was taking his three girls and the hotel had already been planned, and then my dd wanted to go and then you said "dd can come it's fine, but here is our situation". I'd feel differently.

But if the father just happened to offer my dd a free ticket and to share a room with him, no.

And even in first scenario I'd offer to pay for her own room.

I'd feel differently about a family suite where the mother was also staying.
