ELO cancelled

The Hyde Park show by ELO has been cancelled in case anyone is going.

When we left the gig everybody was saying that the 2nd Manchester show should be cancelled. It should have been called off on Thursday morning

I imagine there’s a good chance that the band had decided by then, but again I bet the venue can’t announce till the very last minute for insurance or purposes or something - I bet they’re under immense pressure to not officially cancel until there’s no possibility of an alternative

There will be something on the policy. Prob requires a medical sign off. The cynic in me says they wanted to keep selling drinks and t shirts for as long as possible (which they did)as that money won't be refunded. TicketMaster own the tills so it's more money for them.

That’s not why he cancelled. He has been getting progressively more unwell over the course of his last few shows.

How disappointing and so close to the date, hope he gets better soon. I remember how disappointed I was when Black Sabbath cancelled their tour a couple of years ago but we did get a good notice of it. I suppose that is a thing that is more likely to happen with the older stars though.

I think it’s heartbreaking his farewell shows have ended this way. He’s an absolute legend and I really hope he has nothing serious. It must be really hard to accept failing health and give up for good. It’s awful for the fans but not his fault.
