What helps? Radiating to hips. In agony. Too old for this.

Does HRT help?

Is this new? Have you been to a GP about it?

I was on the pill for many years for period pain. Then about 20 years off the pill, no particular pains. Then I headed into perimenopause, pain started again - diagnosed with fibroids but pain mostly manageable. Then severe pain (rocking and vomiting) and heavier bleeding - led to anaemia and, after memorable weekend at A&E with pain off the scale, diagnosed with adenomyosis. Mirena coil fitted.

TLDR - get it looked at. In the meantime alternate paracetamol (or cocodamol) and ibuprofen.

I had that pain with an ovarian cyst, don't presume it's peri, get checked out.

Thank you. It is always first and second day of period only for a few hours. Can be okay if I take enough magnesium. Horrible today, can’t get away from it. I will get it checked.
