IB results and uni place

Hello! Has anyone’s DC recently had their IB results, got what they needed for their firm choice uni but not heard anything from said uni yet?
My DC emailed the uni on Tuesday but no reply.

Yes! But not remotely worried. Has your dc had the offer confirmed in ucas ?

Oh thank you! Yes, it’s on UCAS and also the uni sent the usual email about being ‘delighted’ to be DC’s firm choice. Just nothing since last Sunday saying ‘yes, you’re definitely in…’. I had a bad experience with my first DC and I think I’m a bit paranoid!!

So I just think the process isn’t as slick as it is for a level candidates. I am betting the admissions teams are working their way through those who narrowly missed their offers etc. do you mind me asking which uni! My dd is off to Warwick.

Sussex! And yes, you’re probably right about the system being a bit creaky compared to August!
