Just wanted to counter the other thread by wondering what people's best holiday experiences were.
Mine was Copenhagen/Malmo. The food was the best that I had ever eaten (far, far better than anywhere in France or Italy) the sun was shining even in late September, both towns were beautiful and the people were STUNNING (and not a puffed up fake lip or botoxed face to be seen. Just natural beauty, both men and women) I would love to go back again.

Norfolk Broads, July 1989. Four of us (male) had left school after A levels and we hired a boat for a week's cruising and boozing. It only rained once. Not one crossed word between us that whole week. I admit to only having four proper holidays since then but none of them can top that week in Norfolk.

Looks like the Norfolk Broads is the place to be!

Countryside around Andong in South Korea. Blossom trees were everywhere, in the mountains and lining the roads and it was stunning.
We walked in the mountains, visited some museums and ate delicious food - what a fascinating and beautiful place.
Dh and I both felt ‘free’ - it was as if we had walked into another dimension as we forgot about our worries and problems and felt relaxed and happy all the time we were there.

Iceland in August 2020. We had had our March trip cancelled due to Covid. Iceland opened up in August so we went then instead. No cruise ships at the time so it was quiet and lovely. Everything was open, but not as massively busy as it had been. We were also very lucky with the weather.

DD was about to go to university to study geology so it had been planned around her.

We saw waterfalls, walked on glaciers, bathed in natural hot pools and watched geysers. It was amazing.

The Maldives - spinner dolphins everywhere around a boat. I know several people said they found it boring but that experience was magical.

Had a great holiday once spent in my own garden. Sun shone all week, it was quiet, glass of wine. Just me, it was peaceful and at night I had a really comfortable bed.

Iceland. We went the world famous penis museum in Reykjavik 😂, on a snow buggy up on a glacier, saw waterfalls/geysers, did the blue lagoon, sat in a natural hot spring and so much more. Albania was also fantastic ♥️ We went to Tirana and there’s so much to see. Then of course, Florida ♥️ Got to mention Disney World. Loved it so much that we’re off again next month. So hot though 🥵 🥵 Halloween Horror nights was great at Universal and we loved eating at California Grill. Guardians of the Galaxy is the best ride ever.
