Pay rise while on maternity leave - anyone know works?

I’ve received a pay rise 6 months into my one year maternity leave (based on last year’s performance).

My company offer 6 months fully paid enhanced maternity pay but give you the option to split this over 12 months so it’s effectively 12 months at half pay, I have chosen to do this.

My pay rise will be effective as of 1st July but will it apply in full to the second half of the year or will I get half of the increase over that time?

I have emailed HR asking the question but want to make sure I’m clear what the law is/ what
my entitlement is before I talk to them properly if anyone can help or knows where I can find this information?

Brilliant thank you! So would the alabaster ruling not apply until 9 months to the SMP portion?
