Restaurant with a group of 10 year olds

Hi, we have lunch booked for a group of 7 girls this weekend and I'm sure they will entertain themselves but was thinking as it's for part of a party I could include something they can do whilst sitting at the table waiting for their food to arrive. Has anyone got some ideas please? They can be quite excitable so something to perhaps keep them occupied would be good! Thank you.k

Bracelet making? Something like this https://cottontwist.co.uk/products/bff-friendship-bracelet-kit or https://cottontwist.co.uk/products/make-your-own-friendship-bracelet

Make it part of a party favour to make while they're there.

Thank you - that's a lovely set of beads - just ordered some!

To be honest I think you should run it past the restaurant before setting up a load of crafts.

Turning up to a normal table booking and expecting to treat it like a birthday party seems like CF behaviour to me.

It would have to be something quiet and not messy. Perhaps some of those top model sticker books? Or a few magazine?

I’d expect 10yr olds to behave at a restaurant without any entertainment

To be honest if they can’t wait for their food without being entertained at 10, they’re not mature enough to be eating in restaurant.

This would be my thought. If you must do something, what about one of those games where everybody writes a sentence, folds paper over, pass it round, next person writes a sentence etc

This. Surely the answer to your question is ‘talk’? They simply talk while they wait.

Exactly. Talk, read, sit quietly. Any howling or shrieking - immediate exit. If incapable of this, they don't go out.

What on earth is a party favourite?
