Holiday ideas after GCSEs 20 2026

Next year we have an opportunity to take a trip after GCSEs finish any ideas/recommendations? We have a good budget and 3 weeks to fill. We are well traveled, not too keen on beach locations, enjoy camping, city breaks, culture and food.

I'd say Japan but Japan is massively overcrowded right now with tourists. Vietnam would be a great alternative

Canada? The east coast would offer you everything you want.

Following! We were thinking Califironia- Yosemite and DD2 has suddenly decided she'd like to try surfing- but Trump has made me want to boycot America. Might try Canada instead and go rafting instead of surfing!

Japan and Canada are on our list. I fancy Canada but DH and DS like the sound of Japan. I’m worried it will be crowded and exhausting!

I was looking at surfing on the west coast of Canada! I think Tofino looked good. But Canada is so huge that might not be near anywhere else you fancy going!
