Christian Horner 'let go' from Red Bull

Christian Horner was today 'released with immediate effect' from Red Bull. No mention from anyone as to why. Horner reportedly has said even he doesn't know why (can't believe that).

I know performance hasn't been great lately but seems a bit extreme as we are only a handful of races into the season. If it was performance based wouldn't they say that?

Does make me wonder what if there is something else going on in the background.

Lots of theories on X. But few people saying it's a bad thing. Of course he knows why. Be interesting to see if he stays in F1 with another team though. I'd imagine he's rather untouchable personally.

I read a report that said he had not done that well for team results. Also his own behaviour probably played a part so he only has himself to blame .Plenty of people pointed out at the time that the Spice girls were very much run by men being in control so Girl power didn't really exist.

There could be a number of things or a combination. The scandal with the female employee, it might be him or Max (Max possibly going to Mercedes if he's not happy), a lot of tension between the Max people and Horner, it could be the problem with the second seat, no one but Max can drive the car and now even he's having problems, it could be performance of the team in general, or problems with the new car design for next year with the loss of Adrian Newey. It's all not great at the minute!

To be honest I saw the other one and it’s just titled with his name. I thought it was going to be just raking over the details of the alleged affair (not sure what happened, didn’t read it at the time so no idea on the details and no interest either), your thread title was a bit more detailed so I clicked on it rather than the other one!!
