A place to stay in Swindon for 1 night.

I booked an air show. In Swinton. But I didn't think it through. The problem is it says its a good idea to arrive for 6.30-6.45 am. Im going by train. So im thinking i will have to go the night before after school.

I will be going from Paddington to Swindon. I have a family rail card.

I need to find a mega cheap place to stay that's close to Swindon station. For 2 adults 2 children. Officially its 1 adult 3 children. But I think it may be easier to find based on 2 adults 2 children.

Im not looking for posh or luxury. Im looking for cheap and cheerful and clean.

No - the Premier Inn flex can be cancelled until 1pm on the day, check in is usually 3pm.

Is at least one of the children over 16?

Is it in actual Swindon or Fairford? Cos Fairford isn’t very close to Swindon.

There’s a Holiday Inn Express, come out of the station and head right, or I see The Leonardo Hotel also mentioned. Both accessible the bus station.

Hotels get heavily booked over a wide area in advance for the Air Tattoo though…

How are you going to get to the air show?? I think they do a bus/ coach from Swindon centre??

Are you going to Fairford? Getting the shuttle from the bus station? If so there’s a holiday inn express a short walk from the station which isn’t far to walk to the bus.

Is it Fairford? Traffic can get really bad so it will take you a while even from Swindon to get there at 6.30 am

And if you’re looking at premier inn you’ll need 2 rooms for 4 of you

Its allowing me to book for 4 in one room

Definitely not the travelodge, it was cheap but actually disgusting- just filthy and worn out

Ohh my favourite place to stay is outside Swindon and it’s gorgeous for a lower cost hotel, Fairford not too far, but won’t work if your getting shuttle. But if anyone else is down that way Mollies Diner at Farringdon
