Ski clothing for teen

My DD has a ski holiday with school next year and I thought I’d take advantage of it being out of season and would check vinted for some cheaper second hand items. However, there are loads and being a non skiing family I’m not really sure what I’m looking for.

Can anybody recommend and brands that I should be looking for please so I can at least filter a bit better. Thank you

Where is she going? If it’s somewhere in Europe you don’t need to go hard core with the warmth. Oysho do some really nice ski stuff that is cute and fashionable and good enough for Europe ( as opposed to somewhere like Japan or the US which can be much colder. ) My teen loves her set.

DC, spyder and Helly Hansen jackets and pants are all well priced for boys.

for thermals just buy new from decathlon. Assuming he’s in Europe and a beginner he won’t need anything particularly technical. Gloves, hats and goggles can all be bought there also for very little. Although Atomic and Oakley are popular choices for the latter.

i would buy decent socks they can make or break hired boots. I favour falke or Salomon.

There’ll be a lot of new options heavily discounted now as stores get ready for the new collections

Most children and teens completely grow out of their skin stuff from one year to the next so it generally gets very little wear.

for Europe I’d suggest:

ski socks
thermals
ski jacket
ski trousers.

it can get cold, but equally mine have ski-ied at Easter in normal t shirt and ski trousers with no thermals so if the sun is out and it’s late season it’s pretty warm.

You don’t really need branded thermals - I always used to get mine from m and s or off Amazon.

ski jackets and ski trousers - decathlon do a pretty good range. Dare2b are another cheap range.

the expensive brands are stuff like North face and Salomon.

Sorry I misread your thread and you’re looking for a DD. Popular choices in our house are Airforce and historically Roxy. The Jack wills jumpsuit is also popular it’s a fashion option really but perfectly adequate for Europe even at height.

Zara also have good options if the focus is style. Including for thermals, but they do get snapped up quickly

Yes, it is Europe. She’s going to Austria in Feb half term.

Thank you so much for all the info, I’ll look into the brands listed. She actually went this Easter to America but we borrowed the clothes off her friend (Trespass). As she wants to go to the local ski centre and carry on with the lessons I thought it would be best to buy her own.
