I bought a three seater sofa and a chair less than two months ago, I just found out a few days ago that I'm going to be moving for work and I can't take it with me.. (will be moving into a fully furnished place) so I planned on either giving it to charity or to someone who might be in need of a new couch, Until I got home from work today and there was a cigarette burn in one of the seat cushions, the part you sit on.

I don't smoke but I have had a friend staying here who smoked outside, she must have smoked inside when I went to work. I don't know anyone else that smokes and it wasn't there yesterday.

It's small but noticeable, I feel like crying tbh because apart from that it would have been in like new condition. Cushion can't be turned over to hide it etc

Not sure what to do with it now and unsure if people would still want it for free? or would a charity shop still take it?

Think I have the same sofa!
Can you use some small scissors and snip at it carefully, at the very least it will be a similar colour and not so noticeable

Did you buy it new? Because it looks quite worn for only being 2 months old. Does it have the fire safety labels on? Charities wont take it unless it still has the fire safety labels on.

Is the burn deep? As you might be able to use a razor or blade to remove the singed bits from the top and then fluff it up
