Mum died 2 years ago. Struggling today.

I realized today I'll never stop missing her and the pain will never go. I feel lost and like I'm just killing time before it's my time to depart this world. I've nowhere to go now and no-one who loves me in the unconditional way she did

I lost my Dad four years ago and feel similar each time the anniversary of his death comes around.

Also whenever there is a family occasion we would have expected to see him at, and whenever I visit my mother at their house. It always brings home to me that he will never be there again with his effusive welcomes.

It's hard. As you say, it's a pain that never fully goes and some things do bring it to the fore again.
