Stubborn stain on white trousers! Any ideas how to remove it please?

I think it is either rust or lily pollen, right at the back below the bum cheek area. T-shirts dont cover it, and it looks like I am leaking blood!

I have tried -
soaking it
putting washing powder directly on to it and rubbing it in
very hot wash
bleach
Lemon juice and bicarb

Nothing works.

Any other ideas much appreciated!

Fairly liquid left rubbed in with cold water is my go to for stains.

Put it out in strong sunlight?

Hang it out in the sunshine.

I dripped red pesto oil on my white linen pants!!! I tried spraying with stain remover, rubbed fairy liquid in then washed on 60 degree. Removed most of it but left a stain. In a final act, before I threw them in the bin, in desperation I scrubbed them with carpet cleaner that comes in a bottle with a scrubbing brush top ( think it's Dr Otker) then washed at 60 degrees. It came out!!! Perfect now.

My go-to stain remover has always been soaking in hot strong Milton solution (the fizzy tablets) for a few days but think bleach might be the same...?! It's never failed though 🤷‍♀️

Vanish powder? The whitening one.

Mix some into a paste and put a generous dollop on the stain and leave it all night then hot wash.

The only thing that will properly remove it if you have tried all that is having it out in the sun. Maybe even for a few days. Wet it every once in a while. I’ve never had a stain that didn’t disappear after a few days in the sun.

Thanks all! I will start with the sunshine idea, then look at the other remover solutions. It'd be great if the sun did it!!

Just to mention, you shouldn't use hot water on a stain, it sets it forever! Try get the stain out first with whatever method/product works using cold water. When the stain is (hopefully) sorted, you can then hot wash it.

I agree with the sun bleaching method. When it shines obviously. 😊
