Gifts for nursery staff

Hi everyone. End of term is coming up for 2 year old DD next week! There must be at least 10 members of staff in her nursery and I wanted to get a gift for end of term for them. However I can't justify buying for each and everyone of them, and they all do such a good job for DD and the other children equally! What could I buy the staff which can be shared fairly?

Thanks in advance! 🩷

I made up a large goody bag they could pick things from - put in things like face masks, chocolates, small candles, that kind of thing.

DD bought things for the nursery rather than the staff, books, art stuff, not sure how it actually went down , but other DD who is a teacher, says she’d prefer that than people paying good money for stuff that’s not always wanted

That's a lovely idea I will punch!

My sons girlfriend works in a creche and she said the 2 things that have gone down well was cup cakes for everyone from one parent and another parent organised for the local cafe to deliver lunch to all the staff.

I work in a nursery and personally appreciate a nice card, home made if possible and gifts for the nursery, resources like craft things books etc.

Can you just buy for the key worker?

If not, then a basket of things like biscuits, chocolate

NoNameisGoodEnough · 08/07/2025 05:49

I would suggest buying one nice gift for her key worker but writing a card to say how much you appreciate what all the staff do for her.

Key person nd buddy normally get gifts…
a group gift is usually cupcakes, biscuits, a plant for the nursery etc. one year a parent bought a massive cheese meat and sweets grazing box fo us to enjoy in the staff room. Then there was the one who ordered x4 large dominoes pizzas for the staff room too!

what about tea ,coffee and some chocolate biscuits in a box.

Box of donuts 🍩
Or ask if they are having a staff night out and put money into their kitty.

Trying to come up with ideas for 10 staff is daft. My sons nursery asked that if people were giving anything it should be stuff they could raffle, so they could make sure all the staff got something.
