For any MNers who 'know' Lovecat

Sadly, Lovecat died this morning. She had a brain tumour and had not been awake for several days. She was ready to say goodbye.
I spent time with her yesterday, reading her some of the more daft AIBU posts and playing 80s music that she'd mentioned as favourites on threads here.
She has many, many friends who have been there throughout this but I know that in the almost 20 years she'd been on mumsnet there will have been others here who would want to know. Some will have met her in person at Xmas meet ups, that's how we first became friends.
Please, if you see this and were on regular threads with her, pass the news on to others there. I know the low-carb weight loss threads were ones she often posted on but not sure where else.
I will have details of funeral arrangements etc once they are made so please reach out if you feel that's something you'd like to know.

Her username is familiar but I didn't know her. I am sad to hear of her passing though. I've been here for around 15 years so I expect I've seen her posts around.

I was thinking of her camping posts as I drove back last night. The obsession with having a bell tent 😂
I drove past a section of forest that wouldn't usually have tents in, it's owned by Forestry England. There, in a clearing barely big enough, was a really obvious bell tent!

I wouldn't say I 'knew' her, I don't think we were ever at the sane meet ups. But we have chatted on various threads over the years.

Anyway, I hope something can be worked out with MNHQ but even if it can't I think it's lovely that you're thinking of her family and especially of her DD, and what she might have wanted regarding her posts and account here. You're a good friend.

Did it? Must admit I just muted it seeing as I clearly wasn't going to get any actually helpful responses!
Today was also her birthday. Her theatre friends, who have been amazing and the backbone of the support network around her and the family, said they did wonder if she'd wait for today as it would be a rather in keeping with her style dramatic exit 😀
I've been looking for photos, but none are very appropriate, the MN meet up ones are mostly of people's boobs (not taken by me I must add, my camera got passed around) and others are very blurry because my visits to her were pretty much all for after-show parties with lots of gin involved!

Ah god, this is so sad. I also knew her in RL, having met her along with a great hoard of other lovely MNer campers, on here. We all have great memories of her cakes that she'd bring to meet ups, and the very silly, very drunken things we'd all get up to.
It was such a shock to hear how ill she was, so suddenly. Thinking of her DH and lovely daughter.

Thank you for letting us know @POTC She will be dearly missed and was much loved.

Another here who met her IRL through MN and camping, enjoyed her great cakes and sense of humour. She was a thoroughly decent person.

I knew her through the camping section and actually had the great privilege to see her bell tent in person. We had some silly times and quantities of gin. Though we weren't in contact in later years I am so sorry to hear she is gone and very sad for her husband and beautiful daughter. Rest in peace Lovecat, I'll leave the solar powered fairy lights up for you.

Another friend of Lovecat through camping. Definitely enjoyed sharing cake, gin and lots of silliness. And the banter about the camping frippery she loved like bunting and fairy lights against my everything needed a function view. She was a lovely lady that was fiercely loyal and supportive to those she loved. Devastated for her family

I’m incredibly sad to hear about Lovecat. Funnily enough I never came across her on MN but we had a fairly long shared history starting from well before the birth of her DD.

Will miss her so much.

I'm so sorry, I meant to come back but things in my life just went completely to shit and it didn't happen.
