Legally blonde the musical - age 8?

My daughter's theatre class is putting on a production of this. On one hand, I love legally blonde and can't wait. But on the other, she's only 8, and I feel it's a bit old for her, and it's got a bit too much innuendo etc in it. Or am I being a prude?

The theatre school is for 7-17 year olds.

I mean, I'm not going to pull her out of it or anything, but there's themes of sexual harassment etc in there that I'm not sure are appropriate for primary aged kids.

It will probably be a cut-version of it that leaves out anything sexual or inappropriate, not just because of the age of the younger kids but the fact that presumably parents are allowed to bring their kids to watch it. Weird choice of a play, though!

Most schools or teenage theatre classes use cut down versions of plays (e.g Matilda jr.) as the full feature play/film is too long for a school production, or in this case it has inappropriate content.

You could probably ask to look at the script.
