What do I want for my 50th birthday?

My dsis wants ideas. She lives overseas so it will have to be able to be ordered online. I think she'll be disappointed if I just ask for money or vouchers.
I'm a teacher, this time of year is super busy and I always forget it's my birthday coming up and get caught out with no ideas.
Dh is getting me a new watch and I've asked my dcs for one of the Lego flower sets.
I like reading, gardening (but don't want plants) and I'm extremely bad at treating myself so I would like something for me, a little bit luxurious maybe. I'm not especially fussed about clothes, don't wear a lot of jewellery...I don't think I'm very easy to buy for!

Is there a collection of books you'd like? Maybe ones you've read and loved, but a beautiful, decorative set.

Or maybe make a list of books you'd like to read and give that to your sister. You could ask her to send one a month for the next year so you get a lovely surprise in the post each month. Or she could send them all at once, but wrapped one for each month. Or if she has a huge budget give her a list of 52 books and she can send one a week!

Budget probably about £50... More if she joins forces with my mum and/or brother. Certainly not summer house territory, lovely though that would be @Bluebay!

I'm thinking about a bag, or some really luxurious bath/body stuff. One thing I do treat myself to without hesitation is books, probably because they aren't too expensive. I'm also woefully indecisive, which isn't helping.

I got a white company dressing gown from DM and DS, it’s great quality. I wouldn’t spend £80 odd on a dressing gown normally so I try to think of things like that. I love a massage too, that feels like an indulgence. I’d have a look on somewhere like John Lewis for bags, home decor/vases for inspo too

I was 50 a couple of years ago. I asked for money from various which I put towards a Mulberry purse - a bit of luxury and beauty that I use every day. People loved the idea and I love the purse which looks even better now than it did then.

Aesop stuff is really nice, and classy! They do a soap with little grainy bits in it. Sounds weird, but it's really lovely and gets your hands so soft. You could ask for that plus the matching hand lotion?

For DH's 50th I got friends and family to club together so I get him a really nice set of a specific type of garden chair he loved.

L’occitane almond shower oil, big bottle of it. Or a nice perfume. If your budget was bigger, I was going to say an egg chair to sit and read in the garden. Happy birthday!
