When did you stop dressing your baby in sleepsuits all day?

Just wondering when others made the switch from sleepsuits to proper clothes during the day. My son is 3 months and in a mixture of sleepsuits and soft outfits (rompers, legging and vests, dungarees etc. But I’m starting to feel like we’re maybe edging into outfit all the time in the day territory?

Also does anyone make a distinction between the softer pastel sleepsuits (like these which he’s in tonight) vs the brighter, footless ones (like Bonds ones like these which he was wearing out the other day)? Do these seem more like daywear to you than the pastel ones?

Pretty conclusive it’s 9-12 months then 😆

I always viewed the footless ones as "daywear" and the ones with feet as nightwear. But mostly it was when DDs were starting to sit, reach, getting ready to crawl etc that it felt like moving them into more "day clothes" was appropriate. But we did a lot of vests + leggings combo to start with, so it wasnt really anything fancy!

My baby is only 13 weeks and I feel like he just lives in nappies due to this heat 😅

The bonds ones I would just say are better for a rolling or crawling baby and it’s better for them to be able to feel things with their feet. I think we went to outfits around 8-9 months more because it was summer but as long as you want to keep them in sleepsuits because they are so cute in them!

As little time as possible because I hated the poppers. I was bodysuits and dungarees asap

In my opinion there is nothing cuter than a baby looking all cute and snuggly in a sleepsuit, I don’t look at a baby in a sleepsuit and automatically think ‘o they’re in pyjamas!’
I started putting my dc in outfits (which I also class leggings, soft rompers, dungarees etc as) at around 3-6 months occasionally if off somewhere special but for everyday still used sleepsuits the majority of the time.
By the time they started properly crawling I did keep the sleepsuits for just nighttime and use proper outfits in the day.

My baby has such big feet and long legs that the footed ones really don’t fit him well. He’s three months, and his feet are already bigger than the foot space in the 6-9 month ones we have!
