What to wear in Istanbul

Headed to Istanbul next week.
Obviously will keep shoulders covered for religious sites and certain areas.

has anyone been in the very hot summer? Are shorts acceptable? Not talking about short shorts. Just above the knee.

again is it possible to wear tops that expose shoulders without risking unwanted attention.
I'm thinking outfits along these lines

Istanbul is a very diverse city and very modern too. The outfits in the photos are fine, as are bare shoulders and mid thigh skirts.

Just plan your outfits around where you’re going. For example, if you’re planning to visit the Blue Mosque, don’t wear something above the knees and make sure you have something to cover shoulders with. If you’re just wandering about, then fine to wear whatever you want.

It’s one of my favourite cities in the world, as it has the perfect blend of east meets west.
