Comedy podcasts (grown-ups) that work for kids?

My kids (9 and 11) love what they've seen of comedians like Romesh, Rob Beckett, Bob Mortimer, Sarah Milligan, Rachel Harris etc (mainly seen via Taskmaster/other celeb reality stuff, that kind of thing).

So far they've liked The Unbelievable Truth and I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue (they're a bit confused by the latter and we have to mute the very rude innuendo bits about Samantha 😁...) - are there any podcasts or other radio programs that might be suitable? A bit of swearing is ok but I don't want to have to explain long complicated sexual concepts, ideally 🤣

God, how could I forget - don’t let them miss out on the daddy of all comedy radio shows - The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy!

It was my intro to the book, which is my absolute favourite read 25 years since I first read it.

I haven’t listened to it but often heard an advert for Harry hill’s podcast “are we nearly there yet” I think it is called. The advert said it was a family podcast aimed at parents and children so that might be worth a try

Just another vote for Cabin Pressure. It's brilliant

Another vote for Cabin Pressure - it’s worth buying. I listen to at least one episode a day. I know the entire series off by heart, it’s a balm for me. It’s so funny and the characters develop beautifully. Yellow car.

I see what you did there.

When Zelensky described the Ukrainian drone attacks on Russia as 'brilliant' my 13 year old DS said do you think he added his own box beneath the printed options?

Quick update: I found Cabin Pressure on Pocketcast and the older one LOVES it. We also tried The Horne Section but he was a bit bemused 😁

We tried one episode of Harry Hill's podcast mentioned above. It was OK, but maybe not for teens as it seemed for younger children

Agree with others on Unbelievable Truth and Fair Cop

Mine also likes Evil Genius and Dead Ringers.

Will give Unspeakable a try. Sounds good.

Three Bean Salad podcast - very funny and surreal podcast of Mike Wozniak, Henry Paker & Benjamin Partridge talking nonsense about a theme of the week suggested by a listener. A little swearing but not much sex chat. Liable to be very random so a teen would either love it or not have a clue - bit like the Goon Show.

Definitely Your Dead To Me, but some topics are heavier than others.

The Aldrich Kemp series on BBC sounds are tongue in cheek adventure James Bond style stories - fair amount of baddies being killed but the heroes always win out.
