Good Morning All! What's everyone doing today?

I've had a bit of a lie in & have just fed the kittens, put the washer on, and made my cuppa. I'll sit in my kitchen spot to drink it, as always. Everyone else is still sleeping so I'll enjoy the peace for an hour or so before I get dressed.

We haven't got anything much planned for today so I may clear out the three boxes of assorted craft things in the living room. Early Years at work have claimed first look at anything vaguely useful 🤣.

I want to nip to Lidl too, for fruit for my breakfasts at work, and probably top up some salad bits as well. Dd1 will probably come for the walk again. Dd2 wanted to carry on with her assessment prep, so we'll see if she wants to come, but I expect the answer will be "no, I want to do this".

The rest of the day will probably be spent pottering at housey jobs and maybe painting - I have two sets of peg dolls almost ready for their details.

We're having home made chicken and leek pie for tea, most likely with mash and some sort of veg 😋.

After that it's the usual - early showers all round. Self-care-Sunday scrubby everything shower for me, followed by moisturise, tan, finger and toenails. Read for an hour or two, then bed ready for the early alarm tomorrow 💤💤

Morning lucysmam and all . Just sat on patio having cuppa as warm here this morning. Washing pegged out and dog fed . Got all family down for a beef dinner today so that will be nice and manic 😂. They will prob all be gone by about 4 so il go on a long walk with my sister in law and dog as we walk every day and I always feel better for it . We call it walk and talk . Was meant to be away Nxt weekend for another sister in laws bday but she’s fallen out with her sister and now won’t go . There was 5 of us going. It’s all so awkward and I hate atmosphere I like everyone to just play nice 😊. So we are now goin to the zoo instead with the grandchildren. Have a nice and safe day everyone 🫶

Good morning @lucysmam and followers, I’ve been up since 6, we’ve walked the dogs and they’re snoozing. It’s very peaceful here.
DH is in the shower, the washing is on the line, meatballs in tomato and Mediterranean vegetables is simmering on the stove and I’m eating a handful of Pringles with my coffee.
It’s cloudy and muggy here, 19° with a high of 26 for this afternoon so nothing energetic is going to happen!
I’m going down to my Shed shortly to do more drawing while listening to podcasts, DH is heading to the village for a coffee.
I need to do more deadheading of the roses so will do that first 🌹

just having breakfast in our lodge. It’s so peaceful. Plan on showers and getting ready to go for a drive and see some sights.

Tonight I think is fish and chips at a local chippy and perhaps a board game.

Morning all, just had breakfast and off to my class. DH is going to finish fixing the lawnmower and then cut the grass.
Lunch, maybe some hedge cutting and the F1.
No decisions on tea, we may go out.
Considering the F1 movie tonight but might wait for a weekend without a race.

Still raining here, again, waiting for it to stop to put my 2 loads of washing on the line.
DH out doing sport, I was hoping to cycle but didn't fancy a face full of drizzle first thing so I did my bi-annual ironing pile 🤣 .
Now sitting in the kitchen with my third tea listening to Cerys on 6 music, need to get to the shop for milk, might buy a chicken for tea.
Parents probably calling in later for a cuppa, will take kids for a walk this afternoon and watch more Glasto later.

Just got out of bed having coffee.
Hoping it wont get hot today.
Going to do the moping and laundry later.

After a very bad start to the night I went to sleep around 2am and didn't wake up until 9am! So I haven't actually got up yet although I will after I've done this. Next door is doing something very noisy to their patio so it's not very restful anyway.

I have no particular plans for today - Mr Dilemma bought us both (ultra cheap) computers which arrived yesterday, so he wants to set those up this morning. Our previous computers were both probably over ten years old and I was finding mine really clunky... after being used to using my work laptop. I don't think his was as bad but if I had a new one he wanted a new one too.

I may spend the time while he is incommunicado this morning in preparing the vegetables for this evening's stir fry. We had stir fry last night but we're having it again today as I still have loads of vegetables to use up. I'm going to ring the changes though, by having rice instead of noodles, water chestnuts instead of cashew nuts, and using a different sauce. I used oyster sauce yesterday - I think I will use hoisin and garlic today.

I really should sort out my chairdrobe, but I'm not going to. I am going to take the sheets off my bed and put them in the wash - which will mean putting clean sheets on of course.

Morning all, I’m up and making the most of my last relaxing day for the foreseeable - lots of work travelling over the next few weeks which is just going to be manic.

hoping a bit of the cloud will clear then I’ll head to the park in the sunshine with my book. I should really stay home and list things on Vinted and tackle a big to do list of admin but the sun….

longing for the day I have my own garden so it doesn’t have to feel so all or nothing!

will have some leftover pasta salad for lunch then falafel, flatbreads and green salad for tea I think

Good morning Lucysmam and others. I've been up since half six. My new kindle was delivered at seven. So I have had two coffees and a slice of toast, then a trip to Tesco to buy stuff for dgs2 which Aldi don't stock. Then I filled up the car with petrol. Home again and I sorted my kindle. I want to fill it with books for going on holiday in a couple of weeks. I'm currently watching Pulp at Glastonbury and scrolling. Shortly I'll empty the dishwasher. I've just had a cuppa too. Dd is bringing the boys round for a picnic later. Dinner will be fajitas. Have a nice day all

Been catching up with the cleaning whilst it's still relatively cool. Downstairs done moving onto the upstairs next. Hoping to catch the train down to the beach in the afternoon.

I'm in London and it's going to be roasting today. Been to the gym, now waiting for grocery delivery. Pedicure later, lots of reading in the garden (shade), and making paella for dinner. So glad I don't have to go anywhere or do much

I'm going to the cinema to escape the heat. Am presuming/hoping there will be air con! Then take away for dinner & start my new book.

I went for a run at 6am before it got too hot. It was lovely.

Have done two loads of washing and hung them out, unlocked the village hall for a party, picked up some halfwit's McDonald's wrappers from the lane 😡, now I'm going to make some bread, clear the ironing pile and water the tomatoes, cucumbers & courgettes.

If I have any energy after that, I might mend our broken fence panel. Or I might just go to sleep in the shade. 😎

We have a karate class tonight so I'll need some energy for that too.

Been up ages as usual. Did my puzzles with a cuppa and then had marmalade on toast with a second cuppa. Watered some plants and herbs that definitely needed it. Emptied the dishwasher and cleaned the kitchen a bit. Going to go and have a shower in a bit.

We have friends coming this afternoon for a late lunch and plan is roast lamb and roast potatoes with some salads and then Eton Mess. It’s going to be really hot though so possibly not the best idea except for the salads! Was going to try to persuade DH to do the lamb on the bbq but I need to have the oven on anyway for the potatoes. Still haven’t decided if we’ll eat outside or if it will be too hot.

No other major plans today. Will tidy up after friends go and then watch a bit of tv and have an early night I think.

Got up and went for a swim, home now and showered, lying in my towel trying to muster some energy to get dressed.
Dh has given the kitchen a tidy (not everything could fit in the dishwasher last night!).
Will chuck some washing in the machine then need to go to town to get some birthday presents for a friend.
Other than that, my plan is lying on the sofa for the majority of the day 😂
It’s very overcast here at the moment, there is promise of the sun coming out later - will water my herbs this evening and dh may water the lawn. Don’t want to waste loads of water but we had it turfed last year and have worked hard to keep it green and lush! We’ve had the sprinklers on it a few times during the hotter weather and it seems to be doing okay at the moment.

Morning @lucysmam and all. Hope everyone is enjoying your Sunday. I dropped DD to work early. Then came home and had breakfast. Had a long shower - nice not having to rush it. Going to dry my hair shortly. If there's enough petrol in the mower, I'll run it over the front lawn. If not, I'll leave it for today. Going to visit my Dad and drive him somewhere for lunch and try to persuade him to get checked out at the doctor/hospital next week (he had some episodes of breathlessness lately). I'm sure he wouldn't have said anything except my sister was walking with him at the time and witnessed it. He hates hospitals. I'd two glasses of wine last night and stayed up late watching TV. I'm feeling a little tired and slightly hungover today. An early night, I think.

We’ve done some washing, watered plants in the garden and rotated the prepper cupboard a bit so had american pancakes for breakfast/brunch. A chill day.

I've been on a 3 mile walk in the drizzle. No views but lots of swallows to watch. Home and have laundry on (tumble dryer sadly) and have been playing marble run with DS. Also had my ice cream machine going with homemade raspberry ripple ice cream after a bumper raspberry crop yesterday. Taking DS to a trampoline party this afternoon then home for roast chicken (going to put in the oven on timer) and Jersey royals, and the ice cream. Hope to start my new book tonight.

Good morning everyone, it’s been a quiet morning here so far. Me and dh were up for 7.30am and Dd10 got up at 10am so dh made sausage sandwiches and they’re now on the sofa watching The Greatest Showman.

I’m trying to get some annoying jobs around the house done today as it just looks dusty and grubby. So far I’ve wiped down all the kitchen cupboard doors, dusted all the skirting boards downstairs and on the landing, wiped down all the internal doors and taken the sofa cushions off and washed them. Very dull but it’s been ages since any of this stuff was done so needs must.

Dd17 ended up staying at her friend’s last night and had one glass of wine too many so came home hungover and is upstairs getting ready for work and regretting all of her life decisions 😂

This afternoon will be spent organising for another busy week ahead - ironing school/work clothes, chopping up fruit, everything showers, filling the car up with petrol, packing school/work bags that kind of stuff then tea will be the jacket potatoes we were meant to have last night (dh and dd10 were out for tea so me and dd17 had chicken, noodles and veg instead).

The evening will be spent in front of the tv before getting an early night.

Good morning @lucysmam & everyone - sleepy head here today! Originally woke at 6 & took painkillers then sat up for a bit until they kicked in but after that I just kept going back to sleep. Weird vivid dreams too. Eventually woke properly around 10. It’s heavy humid & dull here in Cornwall, like yesterday, and I find that the weather really affects my mood. Much more than it used to actually. Saturday ended up being a bit of a write off as I accidentally took a double dose of Zapain & was wiped out. Have unloaded/partially loaded the dishwasher & there’s a load of laundry on. DH has just hung up a basketful & is now cleaning the rabbits out. His white work shirts will go in next. I’m gearing up to walk to Tescos as we forgot to buy double cream in the big shop. DH is making Jamie Oliver’s carbonara for tea. It’s so easy & delicious with pancetta, peas & fresh mint. Also need new pants! Sorry if TMI! Just finishing a cuppa & I may have had 2 Mr Kipling lemon slices. Polished off 3 figrolls with my cuppa in bed earlier. DD16 has emerged briefly but now back in her pit! She’s going to be given an interview date for college this week which is huge as she’s been out of education for pretty much the whole of secondary. Level 1 Hair & Beauty although she wants to do nail art eventually. If I can be bothered, I’ll sort out my jewellery. Quite fancy getting a cork board to display necklaces rather than leave them all lying on my bedside cabinet in a tangle! Have a great Sunday folks 🙂

Morning all - just! Had a bit of a lie in this morning after our pub trip last night. Remarkably not hungover but slightly fuzzy. Did my turkish lesson - ordering food and drink - and we're now giving the house a bit of a tidy. DS is meeting his friend for a swim later then they're both coming back here for dinner. Roast chicken and rhubarb tart for pudding. Might manage to get some packing done for our holiday but there's no rush. Have a good day, everyone.

Morning all I was up early woken by the dog again. Started my day journaling and decided to cancel my yoga class as was feeling so hot. I was intending an early dog walk but so humid here so will leave it until this evening considering popping out to get her a paddling pool instead. I’ve been to the shop and made myself a wrap with bacon, egg and hash brown it was amazing and not healthy but needed! I even bought the ingredients to make a cake which I find relaxing and haven’t done in ages. I have some boring jobs to do on the laptop but might go and see dp instead!
