Slammed my finger in the door last night

I iced it and went to bed and slept alright but it is very throbby. Is there any point in going to minor injuries (maybe to release the pressure) or does it just need time?
I’m sure I will lose the nail.

Definitely needs the pressure releasing. Go to minor injuries

Yes, go and get it looked at. My friend had a finger which looked very like that and he'd fractured it.

Eurgh thank you. I think you may both be right. It doesn’t open until 10 so any further thoughts gratefully received! Thanks for sympathy @fruitandvegoverload

Update - so I didn’t go as I spoke to a gp family member who said go if the blood under the nail rose up my nail much more and/or if the pain was unbearable. It was ok so I’ve left it and am glad I did as it is not painful unless I put pressure on it. Am typing with 9 fingers and copious use of the dictation mechanism which seems to be working.
