Where to go for night out in Liverpool?

Late thirties, early 40s group of us Saturday night in a couple of weeks. Need somewhere for food but also want some cocktails, dancing etc. Any recommendations?

Mowgli is great for food, but most of the places on Bold Street are good.

Be at one or any of the Irish bars on Seel street for cocktails and a dance.
