Ds has just turned the tv on "to see someone famous" but I have no idea who this is

Oh they've just put his name up and he's playing a song j recognise. But I'd never have recognised him in a million years. Its the guy from Credence Clearwater Revival. Ds has given up already and gone out for a bike ride

He's 80!

John Fogarty. Wrote some huge songs back about 1970. He fronted a band called Credence Clearwater Revival. They had an acrimonious break up and he went solo. A huge influence on eg Springsteen and Bryan Adams amongst others. He had a long legal battle to get ownership of his songs. 80 now and his voice has gone imo but still great songs and he has a good band
