Salad obviously, but any other ways to use it?

I often chop some up on pasta dishes. Yum.

Caprese salad? Fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, fresh basil, olive oil and salt.

add it to salads or sandwiches? I usually eat it raw, in my house it’s only ever cooked when making pasta or gnocchi alla sorrentina or making pizza.

Are you talking about the fresh mozzarella in a bag with its own liquid, or the block one used for pizzas?

Gosh I never cook it (don’t make ouzos). I love it in sandwiches. Also nice to eat with fruit like figs, add some salami for a smorgasbord.

Mozzarella with a dollop of green pesto and some prosciutto ham, and crusty rolls. Lush.

I suppose I meant baked on pizza etc...i don't like it if it goes chewy

Thanks, I just did a version of this ...mozzarella with little bit pesto and sliced tomato, on toast 😁, it was delicious

Have you seen the Italian sushi videos on social media op...you wrap up mozzarella and sun-dried tomatoes and rocket in Parma ham in a kind of roll and slice it up and drizzle with balsamic... looks yummy

Sliced with sliced tomato and rough chopped basil. Drizzle with balsamic glaze. Munch with French toasts

BarnacleBeasley · 27/06/2025 13:15

I like it in a sandwich with some ham and slices of marinated artichoke hearts.

Nectarines, prosciutto/Parma ham and mozz is one of my go-to salads in summer. It’s so simple but each ingredient goes perfectly with the other two.

I just eat it straight out of the pot into my mouth (over the sink so it doesn't drip everywhere, naturally. I'm not a heathen.)

Yum some lovely ideas, thanks
