Well, we're all different. I spend a lot of time on another Scottish island not that far south of this one. I absolutely love it there, although I do enjoy coming home to London too.

Yes, it's probably a money pit. Would be very difficult to get on and off in the winter months, no doubt. It's gorgeous though.

Tbf considering a 4 bed semi round my way cost me £1.3m last year that’s excellent value for an island, castle and three properties.

The castle is a ruin, but the properties appear to be in good order and could be rented out.

Probably not. We have a house and some gites in Southern France. Worth far less than that and with pools. It's warm there and we can do it about 6.5/7 hrs dtd if the timings are right.
