New Connections thread?

hi welcome @fruitandvegoverload, I started the threads and am quite relaxed about discussing as like you I don’t post until after I’ve completed the puzzle.
i think it’s followed the lead of the Wordle thread for ‘no spoilers’.
my problem is I can’t remember by the following day what irked me, to discuss!
I will go with the majority!

@fruitandvegoverload I think that some posters may look here before posting and one poster is on a different time zone. I’m with @ThePoshUnsthat when leaving things til the following day to discuss,
I tend to have forgotten whatever the problem was, so I may find a discussion on the day easier. I think some of the other games threads have a separate thread for discussions and spoilers.

I think the problem with spoilers is that you may inadvertently see it. I look at threads I'm on and may catch a glimpse without meaning to before I've done it.

I'd prefer to not have spoilers allowed because I'm often posting one puzzle behind everyone else if I don't find time to complete it until the late afternoon or evening, like today (my timezone is GMT-8hrs.) I could accidentally see "tomorrow's" answers while posting my own, so I guess I'd just unwatch the thread. But, honestly, it's not a big deal 🙂

I don’t come on the thread until after I’ve done it but agree that it could come up on threads I’m on and I know that @CobraChicken is in a different time zone.

I did see a comment on Threads yesterday about the purple most of us didn’t get and the second comment on the thread was moaning that it was a potential spoiler. Although as far as I remember the person who started the thread didn’t mention Connections!

No default today. I would prefer no discussion on the day because of the risk of seeing it on threads I’m watching. Sometimes I might look here if I’m struggling just to see if everyone else is, as well. I have the NYT app so I can look back on previous days. Yesterday’s dodgy pie was chess pie, which is an American dessert.

When I’m struggling with connections I sometimes check the thread to see if others have too. Today being a prime example where initially I didn’t have a clue.

Ok so most agree to no spoilers. Yes chess pie got me yesterday! It is interesting to see how different English and American English can be at times.
