What are your 12 yr old kids doing this summer?

Mine is just finishing year 7. Doesn’t want to do any clubs, and most of them are for primary aged kids anyway. We’ve got a few things planned but there will be at least 2 weeks when both parents are working (from home) and he will be left to his own devices - I’d like to find something for him to do that is age appropriate and fun but structured enough to be ok if you’re going on your own.

We are In London and happy to pay - any ideas?

Mine finished for the summer last week. So far I have her helping with a declutter and helping organise packing for the summer holidays. She had a meet up with classmates and is also walking the dog daily. We are off on holidays for a fortnight this week but to be honest she does a lot of extra curricular stuff during term time and is always on the go so I’ll let her enjoy her time off for the remaining six weeks

Mine is just finished P7. A nature camp at her old nursery, family holiday, a rowing camp, a few summer sessions at the new secondary school and the Edinburgh Book Festival are all booked so far.

She’ll be 13 in September.

Mine will be going to D & D club. He’s really not sporty at all and too old for wrap around. He has found his crowd at Dungeons and Dragons. They do crafts and things too.

There was an animation camp last year too so I will be looking out for that again.
