Should I avoid playgroup when baby has untreated oral thrush?

Ive discovered my baby has oral thrush, we are booked in the drs this afternoon, but should I avoid playgroup this morning? Hes very much in the hands in mouth stage so there's likely going to be contamination if he plays with toys/put them in his mouth.

Is it that contagious? Should I avoid until his had some form of treatment?

Asking as genuinely dont know if i should be avoid, or if im over reacting.

I personally would keep them away until they’ve had 48 hours of treatment if you know they will be mouthing stuff. Its quite rare but it can be transmittable to those with underdeveloped or vulnerable immune systems

Yes keep them away till you have been seen.

I did keep away in the end, just as well as it took me literally all afternoon to find a pharmacy which had stock of the treatment!
