Anybody else go the Pulp concert last night in Birmingham? It was amazing! Even better than I expected to be honest, and I'm a pretty big fan although somehow had never seen them live - despite loving them for 25 years plus! Lots of interaction from Jarvis, loads of stage digital displays, streamers, confetti/ticker tape at the end, inflatables etc. All this and Jarvis was his usual fabulous self, good mixture of old and new songs..excellent night 😍

Thanks folks, happy to hear some of my favourites were played and hope to hear those in Sheffield next month. 💚

I’m seeing them in Boston in September - so excited! Last saw them at Glastonbury in 1995 which was amazing.

I saw them in Glasgow, amazing.

I was there last night with my 14 yr old daughter who sang/screamed every single word —cue very proud parent— and they were fabulous!
Any one going to future dates on the tour is in for a great night, Jarvis is one hell of a showman and storyteller.

So glad everyone has enjoyed the show too. A really special night, I'm very happy 😊

I was there! Absolutely brilliant! Loved seeing Candida looking down through her glasses like a school teacher, then knocking out amazing music!
Such a great set list. Wish we’d heard Lipgloss but they’ve got such a back catalogue that we couldn’t get everything!
Anyone who’s still to go, I’m jealous. Would go again in a heartbeat 💓

Evenstar · 20/06/2025 15:24

We’re going on Saturday too 😊 very excited, DH and I haven’t seen them live before so really looking forward to it, loving the new songs too.

Spidey66 · 20/06/2025 15:25

I didn't go to this tour. I hate big venues and the tickets were £££. However I've loved them forever and have seen them 4 times, the last time was 2 years ago and I've seen Jarvis solo twice. I agree they are wonderful live and Jarvis Cocker always engages brilliantly with an audience.

Poor Candida Doyle though. She's had rheumatoid arthritis since her teens and sometimes she seems to be in terrible pain but just keeps on going.

Pixiesfan · 20/06/2025 15:30

I was there too jumping around like a young thing. Felt like I was 25 again. Have seen them at the Reading Festival and Finsbury Park and they were just as good last night. So jealous of everyone still to see them!!

Spidey66 · 21/06/2025 10:40

@Pixiesfani saw them at Reading and Finsbury Park too! (And Brixton Academy and Hyde Park.)

Waitingfordoggo · 21/06/2025 19:08

@Spidey66I saw them at Brixton Academy and Hyde Park (and Wembley and Cardiff).

This is like a weird chain letter of MNers who’ve been at the same Pulp gigs as each other over the years 😂

BCBird · 21/06/2025 19:09

Went about 30 yrs ago. They were great

TasteOfHerCherryChapstick · 22/06/2025 07:24

They were fantastic in Manchester last night 😍 absolutely brilliant 👏 ❤️🥳 and I have to say the co-op arena is the best arena venue I've been to. What a great night, still buzzing now ❤️

minnienono · 22/06/2025 07:28

Yes, was brilliant!

minnienono · 22/06/2025 07:29

@Spidey66

i know what you mean about large venues except I was 2 people from the front so it was like a tiny venue!

Evenstar · 22/06/2025 09:01

Absolutely amazing show last night 🥰 DH wasn’t that sure about going but he enjoyed it so much. The string section were brilliant 🤩
