Wetting a T-shirt on a hot day

Does anyone else do this, to cool down in hot weather? I do it, especially before playing sport outdoors: run my T-shirt under the tap, before wearing it. It can feel a bit odd when first putting it on, but in hot weather, it dries quickly, and the cooling effect is lovely!

I got the idea from a book of party games, which has a more extreme version for very hot weather: the night before, soak some T-shirts, scrunch them up, and put them in the freezer. When it's hot outside, take them out of the freezer, and the winner is the first person to put their T-shirt on. I've not played this game, but it could be just the thing for really hot weather!

Yup I do this when I'm feeding my horses in hot weather. Soak a T shirt, gently wring it out and put it on. It's deliciously cold to start with and ends up nicely dry within the hour.

Make sure you're wearing sunscreen underneath as wet clothing offers less protection than dry if you are outside.
