Is this rosacea and how do I get rid?

My face has been like this since having the mirena coil in November. I don’t know it’s just a coincidence. It’s really bothering me now and my double wear foundation doesn’t seem to be covering it all that well anymore. Any way I can improve it? Removing the coil isn’t really an option as I need it for my endo!

When my skin went bad it was my skin barrier. It took time to make it better. I used a thread on here about improving skin barrier and it was amazing. It took a couple of months but so the redness and 'rash' disappeared. The main think I did was use mineral sunscreen daily, even in winter.

Thank you. I do try to use sunscreen but maybe forget daily. Did any other products help?

I have similar, and I didn't when I was younger. I recently started to be religious about using a hyraulonic acid serum and a moisturizer with nicaciamede (sp?) every night plus as PP says, sunscreen. I've also started using a less harsh cleanser. I've noticed a difference, in about 6 weeks. I also noticed a difference (for the worse!) if I have more than a small glass of wine then night before, so also focusing on being very mindful over my alcohol consumption

Look up peri oral dermatitis and see if that fits. I was prescribed creams by the GP including steroid, then she consulted a dermatologist and I had an 8 week course of antibiotics which thankfully sorted it. It’s completely gone now.

Looks like mine and I do have rosacea. Sometimes sunshine seems to aggravate it, sometimes improve it. It fluctuates so much I've given up trying to figure out if there are triggers and just ignore it. It's annoying when it gets sore but I don't think it's that noticeable really.

Thank you. Which brand do you use please? I’ll see if I notice a pattern with the wine. I do like a glass of fizz at the weekend!

The serum is from the ordinary, and the moisturiser is Cerave, nothing too pricey. I also started using micellar water/jojoba oil for cleansing - I noticed that dehydration really made it worse!
Yeah there's Def a link to wine 😥(and sugar and late nights and hot showers with me!)

Soolantra and persist for a few months. Yes it looks like my rosacea.

Antibiotics (tetracycline I think) also work but soolantra is better if it works and less havoc is reeked on your digestive system

Gentle skincare products only. Azelaic acid from the Ordinary (it's a cream) has been helpful in reducing the redness and little pimples I sometimes get. I used a Cerave cleanser, a moisturising serum, azelaic acid then a moisturiser.

Oh and forgot to mention, mine has Def got worse in last few years, possibly since I had the coil as well. Hadn't considered that link before but it wasn't this bad before my second (after her birth is when I got it)
