To ask how long it took to TTC?

In April 2024 I had a mmc and D&C after 1 month TTC. Then I went on the pill because I was just all over the place as had a close relative pass away etc and just wasn’t in the right frame of mind. Been off pill since Oct.

Fast forward to now and going into cycle 5 of TTC with OPKs. Had a chemical on cycle 2. Now 3 cycles of nothing.

So the reason I’m asking is to see if anyone has had a similar history to me and how long it roughly took them in the end? I have noticed my luteal phase has decreased since my D&C or pill use, what used to be 11 days is now 9, although I made it to 10 last cycle with some vitamins, but had a long cycle with late OV so came off them.

I am still planning to do OPKs but not bothering with vitamins for the next 3 months as I think I read it takes 9 months for your cycle to calm down from the pill and that’s me hitting month 9 post pill now so want to give my body a chance to regulate on its own.

My luteal phase was short when I was breastfeeding - ten days is about the absolute minimum needed to sustain a pregnancy so that could by why you're struggling a bit. I had a chemical when my luteal phase was still short. I did find vitamins helped (think it was vitamin c possibly but check!). I spent 17 years on the pill, came off to let my body settle and got pregnant on my first cycle, then got pregnant on the first cycle after my baby was born and my cycle restarted but miscarried that due to short luteal phase, nothing the next month, and then pregnant with my second child the month after that. Thanks @Springadorable it was 10 days when I used vit C, vit b and d last month but caused such a late ovulation. I’m going to use them after ovulation this month only to see if it helps. Sorry to hear of your losses, yes I think my chemical was due to short LP but I know there can be many reasons.

Yeah I always ovulated around day 19 - thank god for LH strips or I would have been miles out with timing! X
