I heard on the radio this morning that the accusers took the copyright case all the way to the supreme court and lost their appeal, and that in total the dispute has lasted 10 years. The legal bills must be astronomical.
When you win a case you never get 100% of your costs back. Will there now be several years of disputing how much the legal bill ought to be? Whether a lawyers' hotel bill was reasonable or whether the lawyers' hours spent working on the case were appropriate.
For cases when you are not a billionaire musician who can afford to pay (at a guess) 10% of your bill, how do normal people cope when they've successfully defended themselves from being sued?
