Hi, looking for recommendations on where does the best photobooks. I have a high quality camera and I'm sick of prints looking great then coming out grainy!
I have photos from once in a lifetime trip and I would love to make a photo book for the memories and ideally with beautiful crisp photos!

I use have used snapfish, Cewe, Tesco, boots, free prints and all have been dull and grainy. Max Spielmann I have found to be the worst!

any advice would be much appreciated.

thanks!

I really rate Photobox, did my wedding photos on there, and other photo books

Have a look at Blurb - I've been using them for around 18 years now.

I've done photo year books of my son up to the age of 18, books for our holidays and now my son is now an adult, I am doing family year books with all our photos.

The basic quality is good but you can upgrade to higher quality paper. I go for the Imagewrap cover so it's all printed onto the cover, but you can opt for hardcover with dust jacket.

Loads of page templates and you can tweek / edit and create your own too.

I prefer the Booksmart software to the newer Bookwright (all on your computer so you are not working online) ... and I tend to wait to order as they often run 20-30-40% off from time to time (last year they even did a 50% off).

Everything seems to be printed in The Netherlands and takes about 1 week to arrive.

I had did have an issue with one order (some pages were missing from the end of the photo book). The responded really quickly and sorted replacements out very quickly. I've created around 50 books with them so that's not bad going.

I’ve always used photo box and found them brilliant - that being said I haven’t ordered a book since the website changed and it became part of another company - the large poster prints of iPhone selfies are amazing quality though - not grainy at all and I expect the books to be similar (and I have some knowledge of professional photography)

on the quality of your photos - are you saying they are amazing quality but just viewing them on the camera screen or are you then viewing them on a larger size computer screen to then edit them? Having an expensive camera doesn’t make the photos any better if you aren’t confidant how to use it in terms of settings and especially if you have shot in RAW then all photos will require editing
