Ideas date night London, DH back after 6 months away

DH is currently away for six months with work, we’ve done two months and I want to think of ideas for a fun night away once he’s back.

We’re not too far from London so that would work. Need ideas for a great place for evening out together and hotel that would feel special.

Family have offered us some money towards this as a treat-super excited. Has anyone been anywhere lovely/memorable for a special night?

We celebrated our 20th anniversay at the Tower Hotel which is lovely and a great location round Tower Bridge/London Bridge etc. We had drinks up the Shard, which also has a restaurant and I think a hotel.

Ivy Asia at St Pauls feels special for dinner.

What kind of food do you like? Are you planning a whole day plus dinner and hotel or just dinner and hotel? What’s your budget?

I really like the NOMAD hotel in Covent Garden. For a date night I personally like going to a restaurant where we can eat at the counter. There’s something more intimate about sitting next to each other rather than opposite in my view. If you stay Covent Garden area then you have bags of choice as can wander up into Soho too. Favourites of mine include Barafina, Bocca di Lupo, The Frog, Andrew Edmunds.

We stayed at the Shard recently which was fun. Had a great meal in the restaurant there, was really fun.

Coppa Club. Book a glass igloo with a view of Tower Hill. The food is ok, but the vibe and the view are amazing!

We like lots of different food so open for anything. Evening meal and hotel-will help the budget go a bit further, rather than day also.

Budget: London is pricy I know, I think maybe £200 for the meal. Hotel: family will help and have savings so could go up to £5-600. Maybe a bit more for something really fab.
