2nd on council house bidding list-what are my chances?

I’ve been bidding on council properties for almost 2 years but recently have been in the top 10. The perfect house has come up and we are number 2. I don’t want to get my hopes up, but is there any chance this could be the one?

Fingers, toes and possibly eyes are crossed! We went and had a look as we were number 1 for ages, and it made DH and I start thinking about how lovely it would all be. It needs some work and wow, the garden was a jungle but we aren’t afraid of hard work. I’m hoping the people in front of us are afraid of hard work 😂

I’m a housing officer. Many times it goes to even the 3rd viewer. 1st person may not turn up, have had to
bid and will refuse… there’s so many variables!

@Marble10thank you. DH has long term health conditions and secure long term housing would be a big weight off our minds. Hoping to know fairly soon as it’s available next week.

My sister was the second bidder on a property. The first person pulled out due to the work that the property required. She got the property… Fingers crossed it works out for you x
